Cold Caller Food Decision Software is looking for enthusiastic, mature, well spoken individuals to contact the “Decision Makers” of food industry businesses across North America. We are looking for 2 individuals that can work a minimum of 20 hours each week. The hours are flexible between 8AM and 5PM.
Scope of Role:
- Cold Calling Food Distributors and Manufacturers to promote our product and schedule follow-up calls for Sales Department
- Build “Keep In Touch” database
- Clean-up company database
Job Responsibilities:
- Qualify ideal prospects and schedule follow-up calls with them
- Update Contact Manager in accordance with designated sales stage and status definitions
- Represent FDS professionally and in alignment with our values of delivering the high quality products and services to support our customer’s business objectives
Qualifications and Competencies – Must Have:
- Minimum 1 year Cold Calling/Telemarketing Experience
- Proven ability to meet and exceed daily, weekly and monthly targets
- Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English both oral and written
- Ability to get past the “Gate Keeper”
- Ability to speak with Sr. Management/executives within a company
- Willingness to learn and the ability to grasp new ideas and information quickly
- Ability to work independently
Other Requirements:
- Experience in Food manufacturing or distribution industry would be an asset
- Experience with Contact Manager software

- Generate and qualify sales opportunities
- Follow a dedicated sales process from initial contact to closing the deal
- Report on sales opportunities in your sales funnel
- Manage sales opportunities using contact manager software
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow FDS’s on-boarding process to learn how to position the value to prospects and customers
- Identify and qualify opportunities against the ideal prospect profile
- Manage the customer’s buying process to ensure they understand the potential returns for them in using the products and services of FDS
- Understand the customer’s buying process
- Understand and follow FDS’s sales process
- Update opportunity status in Contact Manager in accordance with designated sales stage definitions
- Report on sales opportunities in sales funnel
- Represent FDS professionally and in alignment with our values of delivering the high quality products and services to support our customer’s business objectives
Qualifications and Competencies – Must Have:
- Minimum 2 years Sales Experience
- Willingness to learn and the ability to grasp new ideas and information quickly
- Strong command of the English language both oral and written
- Ability to work independently
- Active listener and customer value focused communicator
Other Requirements:
- Strong business acumen; understand the link between business need and application of technology
- Experience in Food manufacturing or distribution industry would be an asset
- Experience in distribution, warehouse management, supply chain or logistics software would be an asset
- Willingness and ability to travel across North America occasionally
